- From Tanya Venter to Friends of Czech Greenways (Sept 1998)
Just to thank you for your information on the Greenway trip in the Czech
Republic. Unluckily I could not order your maps from you as I live in South
Africa and did not have the time to get the postage, and could not find them
at the beginning of my cycling trip. I managed to find parts of your trail
between Cesky Krumlov and Prague and loved it (pity I lost the trails at
some points and had to go back to the roads). I cycled for about 5 days and
did approximately 400 kilometers, working my way along the trail and between
castles - and it was one of the most rewarding weeks of my life.
Thank you once again - and keep up the good work - the beauty of that part
of the world is certainly worth preserving.
- From Susan Church to Friends of Czech Greenways (1998)
In 1998, Susan Church walked with her friend for 27 days on nearly the
entire Prague - Vienna Greenways. She liked it so much she gave a slide presentation
in February 1999 at the "Get Lost" bookstore in San Francisco.
